The Mock Meet is where it all begins, offering us a chance to prepare for our regularly scheduled CT summer swim meets. This year's Mock Meet will take place on TUESDAY MAY 14 in lieu of regularly scheduled practices. Swimmers should arrive and be ready to warm up no later than 5:30pm for a prompt 6:00pm start.
Please RSVP for your swimmer(s) for the Mock Meet! This is important for scheduling races and keeping the meet running smoothly. We DO need an answer from every swimmer, even if you are not participating. Thank you!
The RSVP form WILL CLOSE AT 5PM ON SUNDAY MAY 12 to allow time for our coaches to prepare the Heat Sheets.
The Mock Meet is a chance for swimmers to:
Learn or review how to line up in the Round Up area (8 & Under swimmers) OR read a heat sheet and line up (swimmers age 9+)
Practice starts, dives, flip turns and racing skills in exactly the same set up as a regular meet
Race for time in specific events
HAVE FUN!
The Mock Meet is a chance for parents to:
Try out a new volunteer role, or review your favorite volunteer role
Catch up with friends, old and new!
Enjoy watching your swimmer, and cheering on our Marlins!
We know that it is difficult to attend events in May, particularly those on a school night, and we thank you all in advance for your participation. The Mock Meet will be shorter in length than a typical meet, with fewer events, to account for this. Thank you for your support!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SNACK BAR IS NOT OPEN DURING THE MOCK MEET. Families should bring their own picnic to enjoy.
