Hello Marlins! It's time for a week of away meets!
First up, CT vs. ORCA takes place Tuesday night!
Important information about the ORCA event:
There will be a 1950s theme on Tuesday night! Families are invited to dress accordingly if desired.
Please drive slowly as you enter the pool and follow the instructions of parking staff. Please note, ALL PARKING IS BACK IN PARKING.
The ORCAs use a pool on Girl Scout property, which has a strict requirement of NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES allowed on the premises.
Programs will not be available for purchase, however we will provide these online as soon as they are made available to us, here.
A snack bar is available! The menu can be accessed below.
Next, it is Highland Vista on Thursday!
Families, please be prepared for a long evening, as Highland Vista is only a 4 lane pool.
Please bring your own seating, snacks and drinks to make sure that your swimmer(s) stay comfortable and hydrated. Highland Vista does have a snack bar with a range of food items.
And finally, the Muppet Meet Invitational for U8 swimmers takes place Sat. June 22!
Please note for the Muppet Meet at Oro Valley Aquatic Center:
Start time is 8:00 am. Please arrive in good time to find parking, arrange your seating in the team tents, and to check in with the coaches. Warmup time slots will be announced when we receive them, but please expect to warm up between 7:00 and 7:30.
It will be HOT. CT will have team tents, but families may also bring their own. Please bring your own seating.
Be sure to bring ALL food & drink to keep you and your swimmer(s) comfortable and hydrated, including plenty of WATER! Bring appropriate clothing to stay cool - hats and sunscreen are also important!
Card games, small toys, or other swimmer entertainment is recommended to keep little ones busy between events.
Check our website ahead of the event, or the SAAA website, to print a heat sheet. These will not be available for sale at the event.
CT may be asked to provide a volunteer timer. If you are willing to help, please reach out to volunteer@ctapmarlins.org.
Other important notes about invitationals and championship events at Oro Valley Aquatic Center:
On deck restrooms are for SWIMMERS ONLY. Parents and spectators are requested to use restrooms located in the park to the north of the pool (near the playground area).
PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED past the barriers. A roundup volunteer will collect the swimmers for each event from the team tents, and walk them to the barriers to meet a coach; coaches will then walk swimmers to the blocks. Parents and spectators may watch events from the bleachers.
PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ALLOWED in the area directly behind the blocks or from the bleachers. Please observe all signage related to photography and filming, and take photos and videos in approved areas only.
These are the rules of SAAA, and they are strictly enforced by SAAA staff at Oro Valley Aquatic Center. Thank you for your understanding.
Go Marlins!
