That's wrap, CT! Thank YOU for your support.

Wrapping up 2023

Thank you everyone who came out for a fun-filled Awards evening last Wednesday, CT Marlins placed 3rd in our division this year! Amazing work!

Congrats to all the swimmers and parents for making it a successful, fun season. The Board thanks you for your great attitude and commitment to improving your swimming and deepening your team friendships.

Couple of wrap up things:

If you have Swim-A-Thon contributions, please drop off at the pool during guarded hours. We’ve raised over $8,000 and are making headway in our goal. Thank you.

If you weren’t at Awards night there’s a trophy and any ribbons waiting for you at the pool! Please stop by the pool at the beginning of a lifeguard shift. That would be 1:45 on weekends or 4:45 on weekdays. Ribbon return program: If you have millions of swim team ribbons at home and are thinking of discarding them, we can help you by recycling them. Simply take off the label on the back of any CT ribbon and return to the lifeguard office. Be a Marlin super recycler!

Fall Swim program:

Lastly, Coach Natalie is interested in running an 8-week after school Fall swim program, probably 2 days a week. Look out for announcements.

Talk are underway to define the twice weekly after school program. We will let you know which days if enrollment minimums are met.

Members:

With the conclusion of the swim team season, the pool is all yours for the duration of the season.

The summer season runs until Labor Day, when lifeguarding stops but you can swim until we close the pool in December.

Please continue to pay for your guests, $1 each. There is a gray box to the left of the lifeguard office with a CT sticker. Otherwise, the lifeguard should have a guest fee donation can.

There are some parties planned, this Saturday, July 22nd 4-7pm is a large party so be prepared for more lifeguards that day.

If you have any concerns or issues, please email lifeguard@ctapmarlins.org to raise your concern with the lifeguard supervisor Sam Partain.

Reminder: Lastly, on Sunday August 13 at 4 PM, we will have the annual member meeting to vote in new board members. Look out for a zoom link, or vote by email ballot, or simply show up to the pool. We will have a report on CT finances, as well as projections for the next year. All members are welcome. Thank you,

the CT Board
